Well that was INSANE! Jamie, Mel and the RV location are so dialed. The location is stunning and your 1st cup of coffee in the morning is an unforgettable cup. The view overlooks a cool surf spot and a very nice beach that is within walking distance from the RV. The little area of La Fortuna also has some great spots to eat at, which is not normal on the East Cape. So, If you do go here, you MUST hit up "Zai Sushi" as well as "Shade" for some great eats right on the beach and all within walking distance from Jamie place. Even though there are places to eat at, the RV has all the amenities to fully cook for yourself. The RV is SUPER clean and everything works perfectly. The bed in the RV is VERY comfortable as well as the pull out couch and drop down dining table. Our kids slept on those with no issues. (Yes, we had 4 people in the RV for 5 days with NO problems) The fridge and freezer are a HUGE plus while on the East Cape making self cooking a breeze. The property is also spotless. Jamie puts a lot of time into keeping things very nice, clean and orderly. Another main point that we enjoyed was the fact of how safe the area seemed. We brought a lot of surfboards, cameras and other expensive items with us on our trip and we never had an issue and always felt like things were ok to leave on the property when we left for the day. It was also nice to know that Jamie closes the gate at the end of his driveway each night for the extra bit of safety that offers. We felt very secure and safe the entire time we were visiting. If you are ready for an adventure that is a bit different than your usual beach vacation, then you have found the spot. We enjoyed the vacation so much that we can't wait to visit again!

Jaime and Mel are the beat! Super accommodating and welcoming couple (like checked in to see if I needed anything while they ran to town for errands). Their place is a traveler’s sanctuary. If you’re looking to escape to the remote East Cape but still be able to catch up on emails and zoom calls- their spot is the best of both worlds. Super fast WiFi for all my video calls and file uploads…..AND I was able to walk to the beach for sunrise and sunset and watch the surfers line up as it’s a stones throw from their property overlooking the playa. You’re also literally 5 steps from Zai sushi if you’re not feeling like cooking. Beware- They also have the sweetest litter of puppies and you’ll most likely be tempted to take one with you. ☺️My dog had the greatest time playing with all the pups. The accommodations are immaculate and the bed was cozier than my bed back home. I would absolutely stay again when I come back through the area.

Words can’t describe the magic of this spot. GO SURFING WITH JAIME!!! He offers a board rental, transport, and lessons. You can’t beat the deal, and it’s one of a kind for that area. I swear, I’ve been guided by many a surfer—and he tops them all. His mastery and intelligence shines in the water. Quick simple tips as he carefully watched my tendencies changed it all. He also helped put things into perspective, helping me (somewhat) kick my fear of nose dives 😂. Turns out there are some techniques 🤷🏽‍♀️🌊. He made me feel safe and would be great for all skill levels. Jaime’s place is perfect for someone looking to watch epic sunrises and sunsets from bed, the kitchen table, or sitting on the bluff outside your front door overlooking the ocean straight ahead. The INTERNET IS FANTASTIC—I was able to do video calls all day without a glitch. The BED IS SUPER COMFORTABLE—I slept more there than I have in months (which probably is also due to how peaceful the location is). Jaime supplied water at a moments notice. The kitchen was fully stocked. Hot water in the shower. Camper is perfectly clean, functional, and quite comfortable. The outdoor toilet is clean and private. Jaime was incredibly accommodating with my arrival and departure—even offered to drive alongside me from Cabo San Jose so I wouldn’t get lost. He was quickly responsive and a very kind, courteous, thoughtful neighbor. You can walk to the beach in minutes, and wow is it a stunning beach. You can take long walks, swim, surf, paddle board, and watch whales jump out of the water. If you are a DOG LOVER—Jaime’s sweetest, friendliest, most playful dogs will fill any hole you have in your heart 😉 There’s also the best SUSHI DIRECTLY ACROSS THE ROAD—affordable, fresh, great cocktails, and with a view of the ocean. Other than that, bring groceries so you don’t have to leave—because you won’t want to.

Jaime’s spot is great. Overlooks La Fortuna beach / surf break. Quite, safe, clean, strong wifi, and everything else you could potentially need. The Rv is perfect and in great shape. We cooked every meal comfortably, had hot showers at night and had a steady wifi signal for the few nights we wanted to watch a movie. Jaime is very attentive and ready to help you with anything. He even helped out with a board repair issue we had! The ultimate added plus were the dogs on the property that are always happy and looking forward to greeting you with big smiles. I highly recommend checking Jaime’s spot out. A true gem.

This little off-grid surf lodge is one of the best kept secrets in all of Los Cabos. Just an hour from the San Jose del Cabo int’l airport, right off the shore in La Fortuna, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
