From Cabo airport to La Fortuna

An hour and a quarter from the airport.

ALAIA is in La Fortuna, on the East Cape of Los Cabos, Baja California Sur. It’s about 1 hour 15 minutes from San José del Cabo airport (SJD) and 35 minutes from San José del Cabo town.

The drive

Toll road, then the coast.

From the airport, take the toll road toward Cabo San Lucas and exit at San José.
There are three grocery stores at the roundabout. City Market is the best one to stock up at.
The road is paved until the last 5 km, which are dirt. It gets bumpy sometimes, but it’s always passable and you don’t need a 4×4.
There’s no phone signal at ALAIA, so download your maps before you leave town.

When you arrive

Check-in from 3 PM.

Check-in from 3 PM, check-out by 11 AM. Earlier or later may be possible, just ask.
Use the Starlink Wi-Fi (150 to 200 Mbps) for calls and messages.
Restaurante La Fortuna, the tiendita, Zai Sushi, Ozzy’s, Lateral and Shade are all a short walk away.
